3D Rocky Reef 4.2

The Unique 3D Digital-offered screensaver 3D Rocky Reef aims to turn your monitor into a virtual aquarium, or if not an aquarium, a window to a virtual rocky reef populated by moray eels, manta rays, angelfish, clownfish, lionfish and so on. If you download and install the screensaver, a process that will take little time to complete, when the screensaver kicks in, you will see a rocky reef on your monitor and a bunch of fish swimming around.

Speaking of downloading and installing 3D Rocky Reef, you have to know that there’s a version for the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system and a version for the Apple-developed Mac OS X. I’ve put the Windows version to the test.

From a visual point of view, there’s not much else to say about this screensaver. If you want to get a feel for what it is like, but without downloading and installing the screensaver, you can check out this Flash animation. From a “play with the settings point of view” there is much to say. Here are the settings you can play with from the screensaver’s Settings menu:

Sound
From this submenu you can adjust the sound volume (the screensaver plays sound in the background by default).
Click the “Change to Your Music” button and you will be presented with instructions on how you can get the screensaver to play your own tracks.

Brightness
From this submenu you can adjust the screensaver’s brightness.

Set time of day
From this menu you can, as the name points out, set the time of day. You can choose between high noon, dusk, and night.

Tint
From this submenu you can adjust the red, green, and blue tint.

Reset All
Click this buttons and all the settings will return to their default values.
